Chris Merritt Celebrates 35 Years at Gema

Chris Merritt is celebrating 35 years of service with Gema. Merritt is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering technology, as well as illustration. He joined the finishing industry in 1984 as an engineer with Ransburg Gema. Today, Merritt is the general manager for Gema USA, responsible for managing the powder coating business within the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America.

Merritt has been an active participant and leader in the powder coating industry, serving as a published author and speaker at a variety of technical conferences and training classes. He is a member of several industry associations, and a strong supporter of the Powder Coating Institute (PCI), serving in a variety of leadership roles within PCI and is currently serving on the board of directors as the past president. He also holds several U.S. patents related to the powder coating industry.
