Defoamer Designed for Waterborne Coating, Printing Ink Formulations

Tego Foamex 812 from Evonik is a new-generation, environmentally-friendly water-based defoamer. It is a 100% active matter content defoamer with polyether-modified polysiloxane technology that offers balance between defoaming efficiency and compatibility, while meeting increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.
The balance between defoaming efficiency and compatibility makes Tego Foamex 812 well suited for a variety of binder systems, Evonik says. With its comprehensive properties, it provides a universal, high-performance and environmentally-friendly defoaming solution for a range of applications, such as pigment concentrates, wood coatings, printing inks, waterborne industrial and automotive coatings and can coatings.
Tego Foamex 812 does not contain biocides nor does it require SVHC labeling. It can be used in formulations complying with current IKEA standards and EU-Ecolabel 2014/312/EU and more. For food contact applications, the defoamer may safely be used in compliance with the Swiss Ordinance, FDA, 21 CFR 175.300 and more.
