*EDP parts showed varying degrees of paint removal when bearings were pressed out.
Paint was not scraped off but, instead, came off with the bearing.
Engineering comments:
Painted bore size is satisfactory.
Force to install the bearing assembly with painted bores has increased up to 55%.
Force to remove the bearing assembly with painted bores has increased up to 59%.
The bores were wiped clean of EDP paint upon removal of the bushing. Service concern.
Service installation and removal methods for the bearing assembly in and out of painted bores needs to performed. Buy-in by the Service Dept. must be obtained. |

| Parts were assembled and left for approximately 70 hours prior to disassembly. No paint was removed when bearings were pressed out. No appreciable size change occurred in bores.
