Question: We electroplate 304 stainless steel using a copper sulfate plating bath.

Question:

We electroplate 304 stainless steel using a copper sulfate plating bath. Should we make any changes to our process if we want to plate 430-stainless steel? L. M.

Answer:

You should be able to plate the 430-stainless steel using the same general approach as used for plating 304-stainless steel. Since you did not include any details in your e-mail, I am unable to comment in any greater detail.
