Coventya’s Center for Excellence for Functional Technologies in Oriskany, New York has added new instrumentation to their Material Science division to offer new capabilities and improve throughput and accuracy of techniques to provide added value for their customers.

The Struers – DuraScan-20 is a microhardness tester that has state-of-the-art load control via combined load cell and dead weight technology ensuring highest degree of accuracy and repeatability; a high resolution CCD camera; and the ability to export data to secondary software for data interpretation and manipulation

 

The Struers – Tegramin-30 is an autopolisher that has advanced method development to provide consistency for full range of sample types; affords consistent reproducible results for polishing of both mounted and un-mounted samples; and has two 6-sample sample holders yield increased throughput for routine micro-hardness, thickness and failure analyses.
