Ineos Olefins & Polymers, Houston, and South African-based energy and chemical company Sasol are forming a joint venture for a world-scale HDPE plant.

Ineos Olefins & Polymers, Houston, and South African-based energy and chemical company Sasol (U.S. office Houston) are forming a joint venture for a world-scale HDPE plant that will utilize the Ineos Innovene S bimodal slurry technology. Location for the plant has yet to be determined but it will be capable of producing nearly 940 million lb/yr of a limited number of grades. Startup is expected at the end of 2015.
