If you knew of a web site on the Internet that provided free business leads and consulting services for surface finishing job shops and suppliers, would you use it?
Let's say that the site is absolutely free to use, requires no registration and would be available 24 hours a day. You need not wait any longer. This feature is called the PFonline Forums and all you need to do is visit www.pfonline.com/forums.html.
Using the PFonline Forums is simple. When you visit the Forums page, all you need to do is select from one of the seven topics and join in. At this point, you can view postings from individuals that have questions or are looking for help with specific products and services.
Case in point! On March 2, 2000, a visitor posted the following question in the Plating Forum, “Is there any plater in the industry that will commit to 100% zero defects on standard zinc barrel plating? Typical defects include: voids (no plate), water spots, poor plating (blisters, burnt, etc.), stains.” If you are a zinc plater, here is an excellent opportunity to work with a potentially large quantity of zinc business. If you are a supplier of zinc commodity or additives, this may be a great lead for you.
Another example is from a February 14, 2000, posting in the Plating Forum. “I am looking for any information or supplier that offers anode bags.” If you are a supplier that happens to sell anode bags, what better way to retrieve a solid business lead?
Currently, PFonline hosts seven forums: Aluminum Finishing, Plating, Painting, Powder Coating, Mass Finishing and Environmental Forum. The seventh Forum, which is actually a small group of different forums, is the Topic of the Month (T.O.M.), which changes each month. We invite you to check them out and spend some quality time each week inside the Forums.
