Machine tool builder, Hurco, based in Indianapolis, IN has revamped its entire line of turning and machining centers and added a boring mill. The Hurco turning center i-series includes 17 to 74 horse power 2-axis turning centers, and 18 to 37 horse power turning / milling centers with 3, 4 or 5 axes for secondary on or off center milling with Y-axis. Some models are available with a sub spindle which enable all operations to be performed in one handling including turning, boring, milling, drilling, and facing on any surface of the part.
The i-series extends to the new HBMX55i boring mill and includes over 35 machining center models with small, medium, and large envelope capacity, ranging from 10 to 80 horse power in vertical, horizontal, and combination h/v (B/C swivel spindle) configurations, with 40 or 50 taper spindles. Some models include built-in, 2-axis A/C trunnion tables fully integrated with the X, Y, and Z axes and controlled with Hurco’s patented UltiMotion software.
