Life Imitates Art At EPi's SUR/FIN Booth
16. July 2013
Model Mariel Booth poses with EPi's staff in their SUR/FIN booth.
If you’ve been reading the pages of Products Finishing anytime in the past year or so, you’ve probably seen the sophisticated ad by EPi featuring a female model covered in nothing but silver to promote EPi’s E-Kleen SR products.
But if you also attended SUR/FIN this year in Chicago, then you probably visited the EPi booth where the model for the ad campaign, Mariel Booth, spent some time with EPi President Eric Olander and his team greeting visitors and getting her photo taken … lots of photos.
Booth is a top fashion model and actress who was born in Arlington, VA, where she grew up doing theater and performing in school plays before being scouted at age 13 by a modeling agency based in Washington, DC. At 15, she signed with the Next agency in New York and Miami and began modeling part-time around her school schedule, but two years later embarked on the full-time modeling career that would take her all over the world for the next six years living and working in Milan, Paris, London, Sydney, and Cape Town, among other markets, before eventually settling back down in New York, where she attended New York University for four years as a Journalism and International Relations major while continuing to model and act in national commercials.
As a student at NYU, she was chosen by Maxim magazine as an official finalist in the 2010 Campus Cuties contest and was featured in the magazine as well as online. She has landed principal roles in several national commercials for very popular brands and companies such as StateFarm, eBay, New Balance, Sunsilk, Tommy Girl, Kohl's Department Store, and Head and Shoulders with baseball star CJ Wilson of the Los Angeles Angels.
EPi made a video to re-cap our their experience at SUR/FIN 2013.
