Industry leader in coating technology names new Global Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

MetoKote Corp. appointed Jon Barrett to global vice president and chief operating officer and John Shaffer as global vice president of sales. Barrett has been with MetoKote since 1983, and Shaffer joined the MetoKote family in 2014.

Barrett has held various roles of increasing responsibility at MetoKote, including his most recent role as vice president, business development. In his new role, Barrett will manage business support services and oversee global operational management. Barrett is a native of Cleveland, and attended Ohio Northern University. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children.
Shaffer's most recent position was director, global sales. Since joining MetoKote he has taken on additional responsibilities within the global sales team. In his new role, Shaffer will manage the commercial organization, oversee growth development in several key markets and will report directly to Oravitz. Prior to MetoKote, Shaffer spent 23 years with PPG in various commercial and product roles within their industrial coatings business. He graduated from LaRoche College and currently resides in Pittsburgh, with his two children.
