Mr. Revier will provide an overview of the accomplishments that have been made to strengthen the NASF financially & position itself to better serve its members.
9:25am-9:50am Dennis Breton – Heatbath Corp
Heat treating problems for the metal finisher. The root cause with inconsistencies relating to cleaning & adhesion problems could be a heat treating problem. Dennis will cover some of the problems that can occur & how to recognize them as to get the heat treater involved in resolving the problem.
10:05am – 10:30am Robin Tiede – Hubbard Hall
Robin’s presentation focuses on how to be successful in trouble shooting & solving problems in industrial wastewater treatment systems. She will also discuss some of the new immerging technologies that can assist you in maintaining compliance.

When it comes to filtration, one style does not fit all. Mr. Magrone’s presentation will cover the variables taken under consideration in determining what type of filtration is best suited for specific applications.

Dale’s presentations are always informative and upbeat. This year Dale is going to provide detailed information on the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS) & what metal finishers need to do to be compliant.

Exotic alloys: Can we plate it? Should we plate it? Fran will go over specific surface preparation chemistries and process steps for some of the exotic alloys you may be confronted with.

The OTA & TURI continue to be supportive to our industry. Heidi & Jim will review upcoming events and reviewing ways their organizations can assist you.

Tom will start off with an overview of internal and external heat exchangers for the metal finishing industry. Mark will piggyback & give a brief talk on the potential applications & benefits of using mixed oxide dimensionally stable anodes for tri chrome and the use of auxiliary anodes.

Mr. Cotter’s presentation will provide an overview of the air pollution control regulations with an emphasis on how these regulations apply to metal finishing operations.

Karl’s presentation will focus on: The use of vibrators to reduce waste and defects in metal finishing, how to select & apply vibration for specific applications and concepts in Lean/TPS/Process Improvement.

Very pleased to have Jeff back. Great down to earth presentation providing insight as to what regulatory agencies are perusing & the potential impact on our industry. He will also discuss issues The Policy Group is engaging.
