West Michigan - Where Does Powder Go: Transfer Efficiency

Please joins the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) West Michigan chapter for presentation on Transfer Presentation by powder coating expert, Rodger Talbert.

Powder can be applied adequately on many parts with limited training and experience. But it takes more learning and experience to apply it effectively and efficiently, especially with challenging materials and parts. This program will review the factors that affect film build control, coverage and transfer efficiency to minimize rejects and improve overall quality.

Rodger Talbert has been working in the paint and coatings industry for over 35 years. He has worked for a custom coater and a company that designs, builds and installs coating systems in engineering and sales. He ran a coatings consulting business from 1993 until 2009 before taking a position with the Powder Coating Institute (PCI) as Technical Director and later Executive Director of PCI. He left PCI in 2012 to be the Field Technical Director of TCI Powder Coatings; He now works for Col-Met Engineered Finishing Solutions as Director of Business Development, working on the design of liquid paint booths, powder booths, ovens and other finishing system equipment.
