IHEA’s Fundamentals of Industrial Process Heating Online Learning Course

IHEA is offering its distance learning course, Fundamentals of Industrial Process Heating this Fall. The online course offers the opportunity to keep current with industrial process heating and is designed to provide flexibility with  an instructor and forums to communicate with other students in the class.  

Course Description:  This six-week online course provides an overview of the fundamentals of heat transfer, fuels and combustion, energy use, furnace design, refractories, automatic control, and atmospheres as applied to industrial process heating. Students will gain a basic understanding of heat transfer principles, fuels and combustion equipment, electric heating and instrumentation and control for efficient operation of furnaces and ovens in process heating.  

Couse Instructor: Max Hoetzl, retired Vice President of Surface Combustion.  Max brings more than 40 years’ experience in the combustion industry to IHEA's online course.

Course Fees:  $700 IHEA Members; $875 Non-Members

Course Duration: October 17th to December 2nd

Group Discount Available - Register two or more people from the same company at the same time to receive discounted registration. The first person will receive the regular rate and each additional attendee will receive a $125 discount!

Registration fee includes course instruction, live interaction with the trainer, class forums to interact with other students, plus an electronic copy of IHEA's Fundamentals of Process Heating Course Handbook. A certificate of completion noting the PDHs earned will be given to each attendee who successfully completes the course.
