It is that time of year and again we ask for your support by committing one day of your time to this year's regional conference. Your loyalty to this conference over the years has enabled this event to gain national recognition with the National Association of Surface Finishers and major suppliers of metal finishing products.

Process Control Electronic Instrumentation: Jordan’s presentation focuses on the use of X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis & Electromagnetic gauges used for materials identification, thickness gauging and controlling processes to specification.

Powder Coating: Powder Coating is a unique type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Greg’s presentation will detail the process and cover the equipment required to perform the process.

The Treatment of Metal Bearings Waste Streams: Basics of precipitation, coagulation, liquid Solids separation, treatment of highly chelated alloy solutions & reducing salts generated during treatment to promote water re-use.

Plating on plastics: There are many types of plastics parts whose functions are better served when the properties of both metal & plastic are combined. Fran’s presentation will review the process and the associated chemistries.

Brush Plating: There are many applications for brush plating of which includes the buildup or repair of specific areas on parts that cannot be tank plated. Bill’s presentation will provide an overview of the process including the associated equipment and tooling.

Air Quality Regulations: Air Quality/Emission regulations relating to metal finishing facilities are comprehensive and in many instances difficult to determine applicability. Jeff will review the many air quality regulations that apply to our industry and which ones may apply to your facility.

TURA: The Baker administration has provided a window of opportunity for industry input regarding policies & regs that impact operations & bottom line. Katherine & Bob will update us on this program as to how the information will be used to make tangible changes in the TURA program.
