A new 3-minute video shows the low temperature Tru Temp finishing process and compares it to conventional hot oxide. The video is designed to give manufacturers a real world look at the product’s quality and ease of use.
The video shows typical products such as toolholders, couplings, and transmission components being blackened by the Tru Temp system. Viewers see the production of a high quality black magnetite finish on all types of iron and steel parts through seven fast steps—clean, rinse, prime, rinse, blacken, rinse and seal. Parts are processed fast on racks, baskets and rotating barrels.
Birchwood Casey says its system provides users same day finishing, whereas sending parts to an outside vendor can take five days or more.
