Over the past several years, CCAI has awarded scholarship money from the CCAI Matt Heuertz Scholarship program to students currently enrolled in curriculum that could lead to a career in the finishing industry. The primary objective of this program is to encourage advanced education in finishing technologies, honoring the first CCAI Executive Director Matt Heuertz, who served the association for 16 years.

“CCAI wants to invest in our industry’s future,” CCAI Executive Director Anne Goyer says.  “Reaching out to students and schools that can provide the necessary training and education to better the finishing industry is one of our top goals as an association.”

CCAI also offers its “Careers in Finishing Guide” for anyone interested in learning more about the many opportunities available in the surface finishing industry. The guide can be downloaded from CCAI’s website and is also available by contacting the national office.

Qualified candidate applications will be reviewed by the National CCAI Education Committee for the national scholarship program. Applications will also be distributed to chapters that provide additional scholarship funding for students in their area. Students must complete a CCAI National Scholarship application; provide a transcript or other grade verification and a resume with a photo.
