The North Scottsdale Park and Ride was selected in the metal roofing category. PPG supplied Duranar Vari-Cool infrared-reflective metal roof coatings for the structure, which is located on a six-acre site near the Scottsdale, Arizona, airport and provides 275 shaded parking spaces for commuters.

The addition to and renovation of Chaffin Junior High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas, which features “Hartford Green” Duranar coatings, was selected in the education–primary and secondary category.

PPG also supplied coatings to the new Arts and Science building at Valparaiso University, which earned honorable mention for creative detailing.

Metalcon 2014 was held October 1-3 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
