Columbia Chemical Corp. (Brunswick, Ohio) has been granted approval from several OEMs for use of its zinc and zinc-alloy plating processes after rigorous testing at the companies’ facilities.
General Motors granted global fastener approval for the GMW 3200 tin-zinc alloy, which includes Columbia Chemical’s Coltin-ZN, Coldip TZ-10 and Colfin TTM-1016. The company is also approved for the GMW-4700 Type B, BL specification for zinc-nickel, including one of its Trivecta NI-Z Black 70 processes.
National Cash Register approved Columbia Chemical’s Coldip Tri-V 200UB for zinc plating under its 009-0020301F specification.
Alfagomma, an Italy-based hose, fitting and adapter manufacturer, approved Columbia Chemical’s SpectraMATE 25 and Zinc-Chro-SHIELD processes. They will be provided and serviced by the company’s Italian distributor, Tecnochimica.
