CompositesWorld announces Thermoplastic Composites for Automotive conference

Thermoplastic Composites for Automotive, scheduled for June 11 in Novi, Mich., USA, will be colocated with the Amerimold trade show emphasizes new materials and technologies for automotive composites.

Gardner Business Media (Cincinnati, Ohio, USA), publisher of High-Performance Composites magazine, Composites Technology magazine, CompositesWorld Weekly newsletter and Plastics Technology magazine, has announced a new conference: Thermoplastic Composites for Automotive, colocated with the Amerimold trade show and scheduled for June 11, 2014 in Novi, Mich., USA. The conference includes admission to Amerimold, June 11-12.

Capitalizing on the recent growth in automotive and advancements in new technology that promise further innovation, the program will consist of presentations from materials and equipment suppliers, including new innovations in composites molding from the likes of Celanese, Arburg, KraussMaffei and Engel. It will also feature presentations on advanced composites technologies that offer carmakers more opportunities to lightweight vehicles while maintaining (if not improving) performance.

The conference also will expose this audience to advances in composites fabrication technologies that may become part of their processing operation in the future. For composites fabricators looking for an entrée into automotive, this event will have the two-pronged effect of exposing them to new technologies in their field, and to injection molders that already are part of the automotive supply chain.
