Dörken MKS Systems, parent company of Dörken Corp. USA (Grass Lake, Mich.), welcomed 230 visitors from four continents and 25 countries to Düsseldorf for its Dörken Days event. Visitors included representatives from the automotive industry, tier suppliers, licensed applicators and coating equipment manufacturers. The event focused on Dörken’s research and development department and presented new products and applications.
The company showcased its Delta-Prozinc generation of electroplating systems sad to deliver high levels of efficiency, ecological sustainability and anti-corrosion protection. The new Delta-eLack electro-coating system was also on display. The system can work synergistically with electro-plated coats of zinc and zinc alloys, or with base coats from the Delta-MKS zinc flake portfolio as a topcoat. According to the company, even small parts which were previously coated on a rack can be coated in bulk using the MKS application technology.
The company also presented a new coating system suitable for the automotive industry. Consisting of Delta-Protekt KL 120 zinc flake basecoat with white rust-resistant Delta-Protekt VH 321 GZ or VH 322 GZ topcoats, the system is designed for fastening elements in visible areas of cars.
