ECOAT14 Conference Program Boasts Timely Speaker Lineup

Presented by The Electrocoat Association and Products Finishing magazine, ECOAT14, the industry’s foremost electrocoating conference, is scheduled for April 22-24, 2014, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. The conference provides attendees the opportunity to stay current with industry trends, discuss what’s coming through the legislative pipeline, learn about new technologies and applications, and network with industry colleagues. 

Keynote speaker Maureen Midgley of Henkel Corp. will present The Chemical Industry’s Response to Trends and Innovations in the Transportation Industry. Joy Forsmark of Ford Motor Company Research and Innovation Center continues that theme in her day-two keynote, Adventures in Incorporating Light Metals in Vehicles, which surveys several recent USAMP programs studying corrosion, including one that investigates strategies to incorporate magnesium alloy components into the body-in-white.

Each keynote will be followed by additional general sessions before breaking into concurrent workshops in the afternoon. Products Finishing columnist Matt Kirchner of American Finishing Resources will impart his Marketing for E-coaters tips and Axel Linnewerth of PPG Industries will discuss The Impact of REACH Legislation on Electrocoat. 

Special events include an industry awards banquet, coatings and cocktails, and the exhibit hospitality evening, offering attendees direct access to suppliers of equipment, chemicals, paint and finishing applications.
