Enthone Inc. (West Haven, Connecticut) hosted a comprehensive forum titled, “OEM Material Standards & Solutions for Decorative Chrome Plating.” Some of the world’s leading OEMs—Honda, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and General Motors—and Tier 1 suppliers participated in the conference, which was chaired by Enthone Automotive Industry Manager, Linda Wing.

The forum provided customers with a platform to discuss industry material standards, OEM expectations from their suppliers and the impact of regulatory mandates on surface finishing technologies. Topics included: OEM decorative chrome engineering standards, OEM/supplier focus on quality and safety, production part approval process, decorative chrome plating trends, and REACH regulations and the North American automotive industry. The centerpiece of the event was an OEM panel discussion with a question and answer session from the audience.

“As we continue our series of automotive forums, Enthone is privileged to provide opportunities where attendees can address emerging technology trends and design requirements that impact the entire industry,” Wing says. “Fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge and spurring discussion can positively affect the entire supply chain.”
