Francis A. Schneiders, Former President of Enthone, Passes on July 4

Francis A. Schneiders, former president of Enthone Inc., died Monday July 4, 2011. Schneiders was well known as a pioneer, a respected leader. and a devoted friend throughout the surface finishing industry.

Schneiders' 42-year career with Enthone began in 1950 as a research chemist, and rose throughout the years to include management responsibilities in sales, technical service, operations, and as  executive vice president. He served as president of Enthone for seventeen years, beginning in 1975 until his retirement in 1992.

Schneiders' significant contributions helped to transform Enthone from a U.S. chemical supplier to the international organization it is today.

Schneiders was also past president of the MFSA, a member of the AESF and the American Chemical Society.
