Haviland Products, in conjunction with distributor Brunnen Industrial and the International Surface Finishing Academy, recently conducted two training sessions on nickel plating at the request of Fanal plant of Spectrum Brands in Monterrey, Mexico.
Extensive training was conducted by Haviland Technical Service Specialist Ron Kinne and Brunnen Plating Chemical Manager Gustavo Velez Quintanilla. The training included operating performance standards and best practices to optimize plated part quality, increase productivity, and extend product reliability. Covered topics included surface preparation, surface activation, nickel plating bath composition, equipment requirements and preventive maintenance of nickel baths.
