HMG Paints Ltd. (Manchester, United Kingdom) celebrates 30-percent growth since 2010 as it enters its 85th year of business. Using this milestone as a springboard, the management team at HMG plans to continue the company’s expansion with plans to achieve growth of 50 percent by 2020.

Herbert Falder founded the company in 1930 manufacturing and distributing cellulose capping solutions for sealing bottle tops. Current Managing Director John Falder is the founder’s grandson and is proud of the stability and passion that his family business offers to its customers. “Because HMG is family owned and operated, we are able to offer customers the reliability and continuity of long term service that can be so important in challenging financial times,” he says. “With future generations of the Falder family currently working within HMG, I am confident that the company will remain just as passionate about paint for another 85 years.”

The company consolidated its position during the 2010 global recession and is now the U.K.’s largest independent industrial coatings manufacturer. Since then, it has significantly invested in its facilities, infrastructure and workforce. The company currently employs eight apprentices that focus on production, marketing and administration, research and development, and color creation.
