Hubbard-Hall Inc. (Waterbury, Connecticut) announced that Gerry Mastropietro has been appointed as the company’s chief operating officer and executive vice president. He will be reporting to Molly Kellogg, president and CEO.

Mastropietro will be responsible for the company’s operations at all three locations as well as Environmental Health, Safety and Security, Purchasing, and Customer Service. He was promoted from the role of senior vice president, in which he oversaw sales for the company’s Distribution Division. Mastropietro says that his sales background informs his efforts in meeting customer needs, even in this new position.

According to the company, another important part of Mastropietro’s new role will include keeping operations as efficient as possible through the lean program. “The leaner we are as a company, the better we can service our customers,” he says.

“With 32 years at Hubbard-Hall, he knows the ins and outs of our operation and understands the demands of our customers,” says Kellogg. “We also share a belief that the principles of lean manufacturing are key to Hubbard-Hall’s future success.”
