Hydraulic and electrohydraulic control manufacturer Husco International (Waukesha, Wisconsin) has invested in two additional MecWash (Aurora, Ohio) component cleaning systems for its European headquarters following the success of previous installations. The Midi aqueous wash machines clean hydraulic control valves used in off-highway applications such as agricultural machinery, materials handling and construction.

Husco commissioned its first Midi for use at the company’s European headquarters in Runcorn, Cheshire, U.K. in 2000. Since then, it has installed three units in that country, as well as five in the U.S. and one in China. The 11th machine will be delivered this month, with the 12th scheduled for later this year.

For the types of hydraulic systems made by Husco, part cleanliness is paramount. “It is…vital that all of our parts are free from contamination before they reach the assembly line,” says Husco Senior Manufacturing Engineer Eric Pollard. “This is the main reason why we continue to invest in MecWash machines, as they are renowned for achieving high cleanliness standards.”
