Osborn Acquires Herold Partco Manufacturing

Parent company Jason Inc.’s Finishing Group president explains that the acquisition will strengthen its product offerings, particularly in the area of power brushes.

Industrial brush, buff and polishing compound supplier Osborn (Brooklyn Heights, Ohio) has acquired Herold Partco Manufacturing Inc., adding that company’s product lines to its offerings. Jason Inc., parent company of Osborn, announced the completed transaction to acquire the manufacturing assets and customer list from Cleveland-based Herold Partco March 25, 2015. Herold Partco manufacturing equipment will be relocated to Osborn’s plant in Richmond, Indiana, and production of Herold Partco products will resume.

Mark Johnson, Osborn vice president, sales and marketing, says, “The products coming under our brand will be excellent additions to Osborn’s offerings, providing even more solutions to existing customers.”

The acquisition was part of Jason Inc.’s growth strategy, expanding through acquiring companies that fit well within the existing companies and complement the current product lineup. Dr. Florestan von Boxberg, president of Jason Finishing Group, explains: “In acquiring the manufacturing assets of Herold Partco, we broaden our catalog in the area of power brushes.”
