PPG Industries announces the appointment of two new executive positions effective November 1. 

Jane Valenta, currently vice president, environment, health and safety (EHS), has been appointed as vice president technical, global architectural coatings. Valenta will report jointly to David Bem, vice president, science and technology, and chief technology officer, and Jean-Marie Greindl, senior vice president, global architectural coatings, and president, PPG Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this new role, she will lead the global architectural coatings technical teams in developing a robust products-innovation process and new technologies to support PPG’s growth.

Mark Cancilla will replace Valenta as vice president, EHS, overseeing PPG’s global EHS organization. In this key leadership role, he will report to Tim Knavish, senior vice president, global automotive coatings. Cancilla is currently global platform director for coatings in PPG’s aerospace business.
