PPG Raising Industrial Coatings Prices

Due to higher raw material costs in the first two quarters of 2011, PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business says it is raising prices by an average of 5 to 8 percent on all its coil and extrusion coating products in North America, effective Sept. 1.

Due to higher raw material costs in the first two quarters of 2011, PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business says it is raising prices by an average of 5 to 8 percent on all its coil and extrusion coating products in North America, effective Sept. 1.

“While PPG has implemented aggressive cost-control measures throughout its operations, these efforts have not sufficiently offset surging raw material costs, thus necessitating this price increase,” says Richard Zoulek, PPG general manager, industrial coatings, U.S. and Canada.
