Sam Huffman, founder and owner of CAPSCO Inc. which was formerly Carolina Plating and Stamping Co., passed away Friday, March 14 at age 91. He was a longtime member of AESF, NAMF and NASF.
Huffman was married to the late Gertrude Helen Frost Huffman, and was a son of the late James and Ollie Elizabeth Stephens Huffman.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the C.B.'s, and was a member of Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy. He is survived by daughters, Helen Black (Doug) of Easley and Pat Hamilton of Easley; son, Sammy Huffman (Teresa) of Greenville; five grandchildren, Angie Atkinson, Eddie Godfrey, Sonny Huffman, Heather Bolt, and Bernie Swint; eight great grandchildren; sister, Mildred Howard; brothers, Harold Huffman (Josephine), Bill Huffman (Betty) all of Greenville, and Joe Huffman (Sarah) of Nashville.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth McConnell brother, James Huffman. The family would like to thank Agape Hospice and Foothills Retirement Center for their love, care, and support during the last few months.
