SPI General Counsel Passes Away

Jerome H. (Jerry) Heckman, general counsel to the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) for more than 50 years and founding partner of Keller and Heckman law firm, passed away in January at the age of 85.

Jerome H. (Jerry) Heckman, general counsel to the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) for more than 50 years and founding partner of Keller and Heckman law firm, passed away in January at the age of 85. Heckman was involved in virtually every major legal and regulatory problem the plastics industry has faced, including its struggle to persuade code officials to permit its products to be used to make pipe, lighting fixtures, and other major components used in building and infrastructure.
