In response to growing concern over proper disposal of used phosphate pretreatment solution from its metal surface paint preparation line, hydraulic pump trailer manufacturer Bri-Mar Manufacturing has installed a CPR System for more environmentally friendly disposal of the wastewater.

The company, based in in Chambersburg, Pa., says it chose the closed-loop system for its ability to recycle and reuse the pretreatment solution, which it expects will help reduce its chemical and water consumption by roughly 70 percent. In addition, the PhosBite 101 solution used in the CPR System enables cleaning and degreasing in one step.

South Bend, Ind.-based CPR Systems is a division of T. George Podell & Co. Inc.
