More than 58 percent of shops provide their employees with 8 to 20 hours of formal training each year, the largest segment in the 2016 Products Finishing Top Shops Benchmarking Survey. Just under 14 percent provided between 21 and 40 training hours each year, while roughly 18 percent of shops provided less than 8 hours of formal training. Only 10 percent of shops gave their employees more than 40 hours of formal training each year.
