The Society of Vacuum Coaters is hosting a self-paced tutorial in distance learning format, Fundamentals of Vapor Deposition, Dec. 3-14, 2012. The tutorial content includes: thermal evaporation, kinetics of vapor deposition, sputtering, nucleation and growth of thin films, chemical vapor deposition, failure mechanisms of thin films and molecular beam epitaxy. Because of the highly interactive nature of this distance-formatted course, registration is limited to 30 participants. Visit svc.org/education/distance-learning.cfm for more details and to register.
