Etna Green, Indiana-based Winona Powder Coating has been granted recertification by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in the U.S. and Canada. This recertification, as well as the company’s ISO 9001 and JDM F17 certifications, convey its dedication to high-performance coating. In addition to the UL recertification, the company is seeking the AAMA 2604 specification, which is applicable to coatings of at least 30 microns thickness for commercial and architectural-grade applications. This specification recognizes high-performance coatings that involve non-phosphate pretreatments.

The company’s president Brian Bailey commented, “We are excited to be able to offer this certification on our coatings. This coating is designed for superior corrosion resistance outdoors with limited fade and weathering. Customers that use us to coat their aluminum components will be able to offer a superior product to architects, building owners and contractors. We expect to finalize testing and obtain this certification in June or July of this year.”
