Designed for cutting thin-gauge metal, Walter Surface Technologies’ Zip One 1-mm cut-off wheel is specially reinforced and bonded with a mix of high-performance abrasives designed to deliver extra-cool cutting.
The disc offers true 1-mm (1/32-inch) thickness, but can last much more than just a few cuts, the company says. It is designed to provide precise cuts without vibrations and with low friction. High-speed cutting also is said to avoid discoloration on cuts and reduce post-cut finishing such as burr removal. Manufactured with an iron-free mix, the Zip One disc is guaranteed not to contaminate stainless steel.
The cutting wheel is suited for a variety of applications and sectors that work with metal sheets thinner than 14 gauge or 5/64 inch, including kitchen/pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers, custom stainless steel shops, HVAC/plumbing/electrical operations, architectural manufacturers, elevator and conveyor manufactures, thermocouples/thin-wall tubing manufacturers, aerospace/transportation industries body shops, sign and shop display manufacturers, and air/water filter manufacturers.
