Cardinal will display its 4860-52 acid etch wash primer, a VOC-compliant primer with spray characteristics that are said to be comparable to primers with higher VOCs, producing the smooth, wet spray essential for thin film application. The chrome-free primer offers increased corrosion protection on nonferrous substrates with more than 2,000 hours’ salt spray on aluminum. Performance is said to be further enhanced when coupled with the company’s 7760 epoxy primer prior to top coating; the preferred topcoat is the company’s 6400 series 2 component polyurethane.
