The Airflex sweeper recovery system from AFC Finishing Systems is a full-floor system that automatically recovers abrasive material. Benefits include quiet operation, low energy consumption, long service life, no moving metal components and no compressed air consumption.
The floor of the system is made of modular corridors, each with a series of flexible rubber blades set at regular intervals. The blades rest against steel combs, enabling the system to push or pull the abrasive when the comb is behind the rubber. On the alternate stroke, the comb passes through the abrasive and the rubber blade passes over it. Eventually, accumulated abrasive in the linear corridors is deposited into a transversal corridor where it is transferred to the media reclassification system.
