Company has been granted a patent for its alkaline cyanide-free zinc electroplating bath and brightener additive, which is now available to customers. The additive incorporates new technology into the company’s Excel™ family of products. The aqueous bath contains zinc ions for producing bright electrodeposits of zinc. The brightening agent is comprised of a polymeric quaternary amine and a reducing sugar, as well as a compound that forms a reducing sugar upon hydrolysis.
