The MCL200HR analyzer from McLeod Instruments can provide automated analysis and replenishment of electroless nickel plating baths. Features include an RS-232 port for data logging and control; 2.5-A AC pump outputs for pH adjustment and nickel metal replenishment; a menu-driven user interface; single-point calibration; and a sensor error system pump shutdown. The unit can handle nickel concentration readings from 0–10 g/L at resolution of 0.001 g/L and covers pH readings from 0-14. It comes in a NEMA 4X enclosure and uses a flash drive for internal data storage. User interface is via a 4 × 20 character LCD backlit display, while LabView-based software enables data collection, exporting and analysis.
