Chloride Test Kit Works With Smaller Samples

Bresle’s chloride test kit features the company’s direct sampling procedure (DSP) for high speed and accuracy and uses a smaller test sample for measurement. The kit includes equipment for assessing the level of soluble salts on blast-cleaned surfaces prior to coating. Inside the kit is a conductivity gage for the assessment of soluble salt ions as chlorides, sulphates and nitrates. The company says the kit complies with the ISO 8502-6 and ISO 8502-9 standards describing the Bresle Method, which states that the conductivity is mainly directly proportional to the concentration of dissolved salts in the solution. ISO 17025 approved certificate of patches available on request.

The company says the kit is also suitable to determine the contamination of blast-media in use, preventing dissolved salts in the recycled abrasive media or water from re-contaminating the surface being cleaned. The blasting media can be tested following ISO 11127-6, according to the company.
