The first in a series of software enhancements to Elcometer’s 456 coating thickness gages includes general language and technical updates, and a new graph-review screen that instantly displays batch readings. The gage was designed with a built-in upgrade feature whereby users connect it via USB port to the company’s ElcoMaster 2.0 data management software, which then displays available updates.
The company said it plans to release free software enhancements on a regular basis to ensure that customers have the most up-to-date gages, and it currently is developing upgrades to the dry film thickness range for release early next year.
