Elcometer Inc.'s Mark IV, the latest in its series of 550 non-contact uncured powder gauges, uses technologies for airborne ultrasonics to measure the cured thickness of uncured powder coatings over most any substrate. Applications include smooth or flat metallic surfaces using steel or aluminum sub base, curved surfaces as well as flat rigid materials such as MDF.

This new design incorporates a new color graphic LCD display that highlights all aspects of measurement process; signal strength, distance from the object, energy level, bound limits, number of samples and final thickness.
