Columbia Chemical will display SpectraMATE 151 CFT, the latest in cobalt-free, trivalent chromate technology for zinc plating. The product produces an attractive, iridescent chromate film, which exceeds 150 hours of salt spray testing to white corrosion without a topcoat. Because it contains no cobalt, it already meets the upcoming RoHS regulations banning this high priority metal. Unlike most trivalent chromate films which cannot be painted, SpectraMATE 151 CFT provides an ideal surface for painting and powder coating, the company says. Columbia Chemical's Sur/Fin booth will feature zinc plating experts, technical data and a free product sample for evaluation.
