In most cases the conductive mask is the holder for the piece to be painted. The mask becomes an integral part of the rack configuration allowing for ease of loading and unloading parts. Because the conductive mask becomes part of the rack, the contact points are usually covered by the mask, keeping paint off the contact point, reducing the time and effort to clean or burn off the rack.
Through a unique blend of silicone elastomer and carbon black the mask allows the ground necessary for electrostatic painting and e-coating to be transferred to the part.
When used correctly conductive masking is designed to allow users to load more parts in less time with less rejects, saving time and money.
