Porex Filtration Division will display its cross-flow Tubular Membrane Filter (TMF) module, which features 61 ½-inch-diameter tubes in a membrane that is substantially anchored in or chemically fused to a sintered porous plastic substrate tube. The modules are designed for cross-flow filtration in the micro- and ultrafiltration range, and each 61-tube configuration provides 45.75 sq ft of high-solids-concentrating surface area. The patented membrane/substrate composite is designed to resist damage from scratching and abrasion, as well as tolerate high pressure in forward and reverse flow conditions.

Applications include heavy metals removal; lime softening; pre-reverse osmosis; chemical mechanical processing, sawing and grinding wastewater; fluoride removal; and oil-emulsion dewatering. The system also enables recycling and re-use of industrial wastewater.
