Ralf W. Dieter, CEO of Dürr AG, said Dürr aims to become one of the leading suppliers in the industrial area. To this end, the company is focusing not only on acquisitions and new product development but also on technology transfer from the core automotive business. The industrial products are also available to order from an online shop. In addition, they will be sold via system integrators and distributors.

"Thanks to our ongoing innovation and global presence, Dürr is the world market leader in application technology for the automotive industry," Dieter says. "We will continue with this successful model and transfer it to other sectors."

An important basis for this is the existing technology range, which has been adapted accordingly. In addition, Dürr has developed new products. The industrial product portfolio includes, for example, pumps, paint supply systems, conventional application systems for both manual and automatic operation as well as 2-component systems and product systems for electrostatic application. A full range of scoop piston and suction pumps is available for the high-pressure range. There is also a wide range of products available for spray guns, from atomizing air-assist to airless technologies. Dürr strengthened its position in this area through the acquisition of specialist companies Bersch & Fratscher (Germany) and EST+ (Czech Republic) in June 2014. Further acquisitions are possible as part of the industrial growth strategy.

"In the industrial sector, too, Dürr covers the entire paint application spectrum," says Dr. Hans Schumacher, President & CEO of Dürr’s Application Technology division. "Our customers from the target sectors can now buy individual products as well as standardized application systems."

From the beginning of 2015 these are available to order quickly and easily from an online shop – initially within Europe, with more countries to follow step by step. The plan is to sell the products through six regional centers. While building its industrial business, Dürr is taking advantage of its presence in all key markets around the world.

"This brings us closer to the customer and ensures quick spare parts supply and efficient technical support," says Dr. Hans Schumacher.
