Alesta RAL powder coatings from DuPont Industrial CoatingSolutions have been formulated using a high-gloss hydroxyalkylamide (HAA) polyester chemistry for indoor and outdoor use. The company says it will be converting all its RAL formulations from the standard triglycidyl isocyanurate (TGIC) polyester chemistry to HAA polyester (TGIC-free).
According to the company, HAA polyester features improved weathering performance, charging (transfer efficiency), cure response and storage stability. It also meets or exceeds AAMA 2603 specifications.
