Magnetic Products Inc. (MPI) will display some of its material handling products, including its Eco-Mag magnetic filter, which uses high-power neodymium rare-earth magnets to remove ferrous and para-magnetic contamination from fluids. The filter is designed to be particularly effective with machine tool oils, coolants and hydraulic fluid machinery systems. It does not use filter consumables and is said to improve filtration efficiency over conventional systems.
Also on display at Fabtech will be the company’s M-Series electric shakers, XCC magnetic coolant cleaner, beltless magnetic conveyors and Power Matrix magnetic chuck. The shakers can handle low-volume applications to central scrap removal systems carrying several thousand pounds per hour. The XCC boasts improved ferrous swarf capture rate and features a durable stainless steel cleaning surface that will not wear out. Beltless magnetic conveyors are available in a variety of models and provide positive control of ferrous metal materials, such as stampings, turnings, chips, fasteners and scrap. The Power Matrix chuck offers 150 ton/m² of magnetic pull, enabling large holding forces to be generated on even modest-sized workpieces.
